God's Angels
A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live
there being so small and helpless?"
"Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."
The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile
to be happy."
God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel you angel's love
and be very happy."
Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't
know the language?"
God said, "your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much
patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."
"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"
God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."
"Who will protect me?"
God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking it's life."
"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."
God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me,
even though I will always be next to you."
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child
hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave, please tell me my angel's name."

Out of this life I shall never take
things of silver and gold I make
things I cherish and hoard away
after I leave this world must stay.
Though I have toiled for a painting rare
to hang on the wall I must leave it there.
All that I gather and all that I keep
I must leave behind when I fall asleep.

in that other world when I pass alone.

A Manual For Life
At birth, there is a manual for life that is given to each of us. Here it is:
You have received a body. It will be yours for the duration of you stay this time around.
You may or may not like it, but it is yours.
Pay attention to the lessons to be learned. Your are enrolled in a school that is full-time and
informal - it is called life. In your school, you will have chances to learn lessons. You are free
to like the lessons or think that they are stupid.
Keep in mind that there are no mistakes, just lessons to be learned. You will be involved with a
process of trial and error, and this process will, with luck, incite growth. The "failures" you
experience will be as much a part of your process as the parts of your life that "succeed."
You will repeat the same lesson, in its various forms, until you learn it. Then you will be free to
go on to the next lesson.
Your learning in life is never over. As long as you are alive, you have lessons to learn. All parts
of life contain a lesson for you.
Places other than where you are will always look better to you, but this is a trick of the mind. It is never
better to be other than what and where you are at this time. But it will always feel as though you should
be someplace else, or be something else in order to find "happiness."
Your fellow beings are merely reflections of yourself. Whatever you love or hate about them is exactly
what you love or hate about yourself.
What you make of life is up to you. You have everything you need to live life. What you do and how
you live is up to you.
The answer to life's questions are within you. You just need to listen and trust your inner knowledge.
